Yesterday, we had the langueage evening in Pioneer group.
We prepared some words in French, Czech, Russian, German and Spanish and children`s task was to stick the words on the right flag.
It was very nice and they had almost 50 percent correct.
As a next step we spoke about the foregin languages and words which we know.
It was nice evening and thanks Polina for comming and helping us with German and Russia words.

Oh Boy, this weekend has been crazy! After gently(harrumph) complications on friday Pavla and me went to Stanley to meet our co Volunteers there. And you know what? Everything that happened before seemed small and neglible compared to the fun and joy we had in Stanley. We stayed with the lovely, lovely Steve and Gwen who also showed us the ‘Dan’ their local activity centre which they magically transformed from an old decrepit building into one of the greatest venues I’ve ever seen in just one year. Angelica and Eko are just great people and I really look forward to spent some time with them again when they will be coming to London. To kind of shorten the time until then we’ve made a little video message for the rest of Woodcraft and our another volunteer Elvis.

Plan for this weekend:

go to Stanley
meet EVS Co volunteers
have fun
make friends
&&&
Reality of this weekend:
meet Rebecca at Kings Cross: FAIL instead get lost at London Bridge
go to Scottish Gathering: FAIL instead: see your train departing from the empty platform….
doomsday
Well you won’t believe this but such things like seeing your train departing right in front of your nose happen not just in movies and on TV. That’s what happened to me and Pavla today around 12 o’clock. The beautiful train we’ve missed should have take us to Woodcrafts beautiful Scottish Gathering in not less beautiful Piltlochry and later to Stanley to meet our lovely evs co-volunteers Angelica and Eco…but then the Armageddon came …we’ve missed our train at 30 seconds…
But after halfway recovering at the Folk Office the clouds passed away and we decided still to go to Stanley to see Angelica and Eco. And now 6 hours after the complete mental breakdown I’m back to normal perception thanks to a trip with a genuine Routemaster(old pretty doubledecker), I’m qouite looking forward to the days we’ll spend with them.
prett posts and hopefully pictures will follow.

The presentation about the Czech Republic

The last group night I had the presentation about the Czech Republic.
It was very interesting for me. I didn`t expect so many questions and I was surprised by children`s reactions.
The most funny part was about the Czech language, because it is completely different from English and some sounds are very difficult for English people.

Park farm working day

On Sunday we went to Park farm to do the work there.
At first we met Tom and the others at Colliers Wood and after that we picked up people from the Ealing group. After 2 hours of driving we finally arrived in Park Farm.
Our first task was tosort and tidy up the storage for all tools and machines which are used in the place. It was a little bit tricky, because we weren`t sure about some things in the storage. But we did our best ![]()
After the lunch we joined the second group which was working in the wood, cutting the trees and collecting the timber. It was hard work. But we enjoyed it. :]
Winter Kinting

As part of discovering the different structures and species of ‘woodies’ I attended a ‘Young Kinsfolk’ event this weekend. Young Kinsfolk are all the Woodcraft members from 16 to 24 blessed with a lots of experience and also loads of bright ideas about what to do and how to help woodcraft. There was a really interesting open space discussion the main outcome of what was the idea of a database included in the national woodcraft website where help-willing young kins can offer their skill and otherwayround group leaders can easily contact someone they wish to help with their local activities.
Apart from this the event was very very good fun with lots of interesting people.
It was just great
